Is photo ID required?

Photo ID is required for Check In. The accepted forms are a valid passport, national ID card or a Photo Drivers Licence.

Check-in / check-out

Check in is from 3pm and checkout is by 10am. If your room is ready before 3pm we are flexible and check you in early.

What is the cancellation policy?

At the time of booking we need a 10% deposit, which is non-refundable to guarantee your booking. If you would like to cancel your booking you must give us 24-hours notice prior to your arrive date. If not, you will be charged for your first night.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is illegal in all public areas in Scotland and if you are caught you will be charged £50 or it will be the discretion of the Duty Manger whether you are asked to leave without a refund.

Are guests under 18 allowed to stay?

Guests under the age of 18 years of age and that aren’t in a group cannot stay in dormitories by them selves and the only way you can stay in the hostel is in a private room with a guardian.

Do we take a deposit when groups check in?

A deposit is required, however, a group leader form must be signed by the leader of the group on arrival. The leader will give their credit card details and take responsibility that no damage happens in the room while you are staying with us.  The Duty Manager may, at his/her discretion, carry out a room inspection of all rooms to determine that no malicious or accidental damage has occurred. If no damage has occurred when the group checks out then the group leader form will be given back and you can destroy the information.
